To understanding better all barriers for Dyslexia Syndrome writers i will write from my own perspective and experience. To understanding Dyslexia/if you are not familiar with it /please read this Hub:http://mysoapbox.hubpages.com/hub/neuroscience-dyslexia.
The sad fact is that people with Dyslexia can meet the high standards at most of popular writers sites.

Why i have a need to raise my voice for dyslexia syndrome writers

To understanding better all barriers for Dyslexia Syndrome writers i will write from my own perspective and experience. To understanding Dyslexia/if you are not familiar with it /please read this Hub:http://mysoapbox.hubpages.com/hub/neuroscience-dyslexia.
The sad fact is that people with Dyslexia can meet the high standards at most of popular writers sites.
This fact putting people with Dyslexia in kind of .lets call it Ghetto
People with Dyslexia have lot to tell and love to write that, like to publish it even with spelling errors, with poor grammar and with long ,sometimes very confuse sentence.
To make possible people with Dyslexia ,write and publish at HubPages ,only require small afford of HubPages stuff -before publishing Hug!
If people with Dyslexia have to meet all rules at HubPages we will never ever be able to be full members of this site.
For me and all other people with Dyslexia is only open place to write at our own web pages or blogs.
We are all equal,so we would like to be equal here to.
Few words about me:
I was born long time ago,1955 and in that time Dyslexia was not yet recognized. My grandma and my mother was so very upset when they found me not able to learn read even simple words such as "mama".
Till my ages of 6 i was able to resolve very complicate math problems from my cousin 7th grade math book, but i was unable to spell,to write or to understand any kind of simple words .
Sentence was to high barrier for me.
With lot parents love and with time i learned to recognize letters ,i was able to recognize it but i still could not put letters together in a word.
That was so very frustrated for my parents at first place, than it was big problem for me to.
But i had luck, big luck with my teacher.
She was teacher with long experience with teaching, she was lady with big heart and she helped me in many ways.
My parents with my grandma and my teacher together force me to improve my math knowledge and in same time i raised my self-respect.
Dyslexia Syndrome is not something what we can cure,we born with it and we will never cure it ..we only can make it less strong.
With time and proper help we are able to learn how to write, read, spell .
Writing and reading help as to beat Dyslexia.
Most people have strong prejudice about people with Dyslexia Syndrome
Even this days some think about Dyslexia Syndrome as mental retardation, which certainly Dyslexia is not, opposite most of people with Dyslexia Syndrome have very high IQ!
Click at link to see list of most famous people with Dyslexia.
http://richieb799.hubpages.com/hub/10-Famous-People-with-Dyslexia
People with Dyslexia need understanding and support.
One of the best practice for people with Dyslexia is to write and read as much more they are able.
Writing on daily basses, help people with Dyslexia more than anything else.
My mission is to help all kids with Dyslexia ,as well my kids and my grand-kids.
Last 10 year i enjoy writing blog and all this years i was struggling to be a part of popular writings community.
I must admit, rules at popular writing sites such as HubPages are to hard for people with Dyslexia.
People with Dyslexia cant reach high writing standards on HubPages.
So ,as a woman with Dyslexia I'm rising my voice for equal rights to write and publish posts/hubs/ for all people, even people with Dyslexia.
Most people are very supportive and open to understand difficulty people with Dyslexia.
Why not give a chance to write people with Dyslexia.
Writing help us to feel worth as much are all other people who don't have Dyslexia.
I know, after this Hub i will be banned from this community, but if only few people read this my mission is done.

My Life with Dyslexia

 My Life with Dyslexia

Before my own experience with dyslexia PLEASE READ Definition of Dyslexia from  A.D.A.M

DYSLEXIA

Developmental reading disorder

Last reviewed: December 10, 2010.
Developmental reading disorder, also called dyslexia, is a reading disability that occurs when the brain does not properly recognize and process certain symbols.

Causes, incidence, and risk factors

Developmental reading disorder (DRD), or dyslexia, occurs when there is a problem in areas of the brain that help interpret language. It is not caused by vision problems. The disorder is a specific information processing problem that does not interfere with one's ability to think or to understand complex ideas. Most people with DRD have normal intelligence, and many have above-average intelligence.
DRD may appear in combination with developmental writing disorder and developmental arithmetic disorder. All of these involve using symbols to convey information. These conditions may appear alone or in any combination.
DRD often runs in families.

Symptoms

A person with DRD may have trouble rhyming and separating sounds that make up spoken words. These abilities appear to be critical in the process of learning to read. A child's initial reading skills are based on word recognition, which involves being able to separate out the sounds in words and match them with letters and groups of letters.
Because people with DRD have difficulty connecting the sounds of language to the letters of words, they may have difficulty understanding sentences.
True dyslexia is much broader than simply confusing or transposing letters, for example mistaking ”b” and “d.".
In general, symptoms of DRD may include:
  • Difficulty determining the meaning (idea content) of a simple sentence
  • Difficulty learning to recognize written words
  • Difficulty rhyming
DRD may occur in combination with writing or math learning problems.

Signs and tests

Other causes of learning disability and, in particular, reading disability, must be ruled out before a diagnosis of DRD can be made. Emotional disorders, mental retardation, diseases of the brain, and certain cultural and education factors can cause learning disabilities.
Before diagnosing DRD, the health care provider will:
  • Perform a complete medical exam, including a neurological exam
  • Ask questions about the person's developmental, social, and school performance
  • Ask if anyone else in the family has had dyslexia
Psychoeducational testing and psychological assessment may be done.

Treatment

Every person with DRD requires a different strategy. An individual education plan should be created for each child with the condition.
The following may be recommended:
  • Extra learning assistance, called remedial instruction
  • Private, individual tutoring
  • Special day classes
Positive reinforcement is important as many students with learning disabilities have poor self-esteem. Psychological counseling may be helpful.

Expectations (prognosis)

Specialized help (called remedial instruction) can lead to marked improvement in reading and understanding.
Reading difficulties may persist for life.

Complications

DRD may lead to:
  • Problems in school, including behavior problems
  • Loss of self-esteem
  • Reading problems that persist into adulthood, which may affect job performance, particularly if the problem was not addressed early in life

Calling your health care provider

Call your health care provider if your child appears to be having trouble learning to read.

Prevention

Learning disorders, such as DRD, tend to run in families. Affected families should make every effort to recognize existing problems early.
Early intervention will provide the best possible outcome.

Now -How Dyslexia Determinate My Life

50-60 years ago Dyslexia was big mystery and  most people was sure that dyslexia is a sort of mental retardation.
I clearly remember my very fist day in preschool,i was about 4,5 years old .
Teacher was older lady, very decent person and she was so full understanding for my problem, but she was sure that im little retarded...i still can feel her special treatment and sorrow for me.She recognized my special talent for math and my little retardation for reading.
There is a lot of different problems with reading and all of them we call with a word Dyslexia.
What was my problem? How it looks like?
My main problem was with vowels .
Par example: word mama or mammy  was big mastery for me ..i couldn't read vowel "a"
well you can imagine how big was my problem..most words have 1 or more vowels..i couldn't read it or write it!
Thanks to my mother and my grandmother who dedicated 4-5 years to learn me read and write by the age of 14 i was able to read and write.
While this process with my improvement in reading was going ,i was the very best pupil in math!!
After primary school i went in to the famous and very expensive secondary school ,that secondary school was a big discovery for me-teachers had very good education and they recognized my problem--in secondary school ,for the very first time i have heard about disorder called Dyslexia!
Big family support and good support from professionals in school helped me to beat my dyslexia!
After secondary school ,very i was the very best student i made decision to continue my education at College and my main subjects were Biology and Math!
I still have few small problems with reading and writing, but on other side my brain working so beautiful in Natural Science!
This days my family have new battle with beast calling Dyslexia, half of my children have dyslexia and both my grandchildren
I like to say,our family is proud member of Dyslexia Family!

Below are thoughts by Unikorna

Ever since I was a little girl I was fascinated by old movies and their lovely breathtaking classic beauties with their curvy hips and tiny waists strangled in tight corsets. In my idea women are supposed to look feminine, whatever that might imply. That is why I was so shockingly impressed of how beautiful a plus size woman can be, if she makes an effort and shakes away all the inhibitions.

Please leave your mark!TU
