1.Split.capital city of Dalmatia.Split is old city rises in and around Diocletian palace.
Diocletian was a Roman Emperor who made his Palace at year 322 .
Diocletian Palace is still very alive and very good preserved.
In the middle of Diocletian Palace is placed the oldest Cathedral in whole world.
Split is located on Marjan peninsula,and city is rich with nice beaches..you can choose sand beach,stone beach,public beach or wild beach. Sea is very clear,very calm and so warm.
2. Dubrovnik is most famous Croatian city and famous people like to visit it.
Dubrovnik was Republic,very rich Republic during Venice Republic at 16th and 17th centuries.
City wall are so very good preserved and walking at city walls is memorable experience.
Food in Croatia
Croatia and especially Dalmatia cuisine is very healthy Mediterranean cuisine with a touch of oriental cousin from Turkish invasion time.
Sea fruits,fish,vegetables,olive oil and coat or sheep cheese are trademark of Croatian cuisine.
The geographic placement of Dalmatia was Dalmatia the biggest gift and nightmare.
Dalmatia was occupant several times by Italian,French ,Germans,Turkish occupant forces.
This fact that Dalmatia lived under different masters made Dalmatia cuisine very rich in taste .
Inhabitants of Croatia:
Most are Croats,about 80% and main religion is Roman Catholic.
National Parks in Dalmatia:
Dalmatia have long and rich history and wonderful preserved nature.
In Dalmatia are 3 National Parks.
1.National Park Krka,placed near Sibenik at river Krka with amazing waterfalls.
2.National Park Paklenica,near Zadar at mountain Velebit.
3. National Park Kornati-Kornati Islands are so beautiful,lots of small islands ,no permanent inhabitants on islands Kornati.
You can travel by car,by train,by bus or boat ..and of course you can fly.
Airport Split is well connected to all Europe and world,as well you can use Dubrovnik airport or some of airports at islands.
If you use car ,for your information,roads in Croatian are very good,meet all high standards for highway.
From Germany or any other Europium country you can drive all way using highways or as i can recommend,from Croatian border use local roads,that will give you opportunity to enjoy in little ,picturesque countryside.
People in Croatia are very open,hospitable and will be happy to share there food or homemade wine with you.
Prices here are not to high,if you travel with family you can rent nice apartments from 50$ per day.
Food buy at open markets from local people.
During the day enjoy at the beach and in the evening there are so many different place for good relaxation.
Music,food,wine,life at piazzas during all summer nights will make your holidays unforgettable.
